The clay dirt around the shop is such an annoyance. It looks like I'll be working on it weekly over the winter. We are in the beginning of our rainy season here in Mississippi and the days between the rain don't allow enough time for the gumbo to dry out completely. I need to keep doing what I can with it
and slowly make the situation better. If I could get to a point where standing water areas are eliminated, we would be in great shape.
Previously, we trenched and ran water pipe from the road all the way to the slab of the shop. In this video, I make the final connection between the existing PVC run to the shop. I also installed another
yard hydrant with its own shut-off valve.
As I type this, I'm four videos behind. We are already living in the shop with the camper but getting electricity from our generator. The chaos of moving was on pause for the past seven or so months as we started working on the land. The chaos is back in full swing right now as I'm scrambling to
establish systems for this new life on the land. Also, I don't have internet at the property, so I'm commuting to relatives to bum internet to upload.
Lots to do...Onward!
