This is definitely something different, but interesting. A friend of mine created an American Civil War museum, focusing on rolling artillery. He's got a Wheeling Ambulance, Rolling Forge, a dozen or so cannons, including an original 1840's 24pdr Howitzer, the only known existing original 24pdr Howitzer Ammunition Chest, a Quartermaster Carriage (I think that's what it's called), a Sweetgum Mortar, a full 4-horse Gun Battery,  hundreds and hundreds of artifacts, a few more carriages, and probably more that I can't name. Duffy is a walking encyclopedia of the American Civil War, he truly is. It is fascinating listening to someone talk about a topic they are so knowledgeable and passionate about. Duffy has a LONG bio of accomplishments and credentials regarding American Civil War history and I highly recommend anyone who may pass through central Mississippi to give Duffy a call and schedule a visit to his museum. He doesn't charge admission and works off of donations only. No group is too big or too small. It truly is a fascinating place to visit.
